This week I’ve been going HARD on Youtube.

aaaand it’s working:

That steady rise at the end there? That’s from finally locking in on a Youtube strategy.

Subtle eh?

The idea right now is to use Youtube for longer form dives into AI and its uses.

Tiktok is great but it’s hard to say much in 60 seconds! So Youtube will be the home of the “next step”.

I’m also working on a whole system that I haven’t seen anyone do before. And if it works (it is so far!) I’ll publish a guide on how to do it.

Very briefly it’s:

• go Live every morning to deliver an update on AI news and to answer questions. That’s about an hour or so. Mainly me yapping, pretty rough and ready. I go live on Tiktok, Youtube, Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn all at the same time.

• that 1 hour live is then tidied up into a clean Youtube video. We use AI to edit to make this fast.

• the live is also sliced up into clips of 5-10 minutes, basically each “section” of the full Live. These live on Youtube.

• those clips are also cut up into 60 second shorts for Youtube Shorts, TikTok etc.

• and everything is pulled together into a daily news update newsletter which points back to the main video with timecodes to find the right sections.

   

So we end up with, let’s see:

• a daily live where I chat to you lovely people.

• a recording of the live

• a clean edited version of the 1 hour live

• 5+ clips of 5-10 minutes

• 5-10 short videos

• a newsletter

EVERY SINGLE day.

Basically we’ve become a media company! Ha!

But here’s the cool part.

It takes 2 hours.

1 hour is recording the live. Can’t avoid that.

The other hour is the AI editing, tidying and publishing on the other platforms.

Yeah….pretty damn fast.

Now, I don’t recommend you immediately do this. 2 hours a day is not nothing. But could you do this once a week? And end up with 30 or so expert content pieces off the back of 2 hours work? Yeah.

And it’s live, raw, authentic. Which is exactly where the algorithms are going.

Next week on the 15th Youtube is demonetising AI generated content. I highly expect the other platforms to follow in short order.

What’s the counterplay here? It’s community. It’s going live. It’s talking to people, answering their questions and being, you know, a human being.

That’s the killer move as AI moves in.

But notice how we combine this human-first approach with AI-based editing and repurposing? That’s the smart play.
