Hey Prompt Entrepreneur,
I was just getting a haircut as I’m heading off to give a talk in Vegas next week .
And looked like a complete scruff. Nothing new!
As the cut was finishing up one of the other customers came up behind and said “I know you! You’re on TikTok!”
He then proceeded to not tell anyone what I did on TikTok and left the barber… leading the rest of the queue asking me what I did…
My favourite suggestions were footballer, boxer or model. I’ll take those, thank you very much! I eventually disappointed everyone with the truth!
This isn’t the first time it’s happened. Random people in the street or pub coming up and saying hi. It’s sorta mad. And I’m entirely ill equipped to deal with it!!
Why am I telling you this? Humble brag? I mean yeah a little, let’s not kid ourselves ha!
But no that’s not the reason. The real reason is the power of audience. The power of being “known”. Being a “key person of influence” to quote Daniel Priestley.
Yes it means being recognised around and about. But more than that it opens doors. Doors that build your business. Doors that can lead to all sorts of cool opportunities.
It’s taken me one year to carve out an audience of 250,000 across platforms. And that has led to somewhere in the region of $300-400k of business. From scratch.
This would not have been possible without an audience.

I’m not going to cover everything (I can’t). But I’m going to give you the protocol that has worked for me and others. Including people who then went and built much much larger audiences than me!
