Hey Prompt Entrepreneur,

I managed to take a holiday this week for my bday.

First for a while and coming back all cylinders firing next week.

Part of my holiday was sketching up something exciting.

A lot of people have been asking me about how to grow their audience like I have.

In the last 6 months or so Iā€™ve built:

  • 50,000 subscribers

  • 40,000 TikTok fans

  • 13,000 X followers

  • A private community of 800+

This audience has allowed me to build a business.

I both teach and use a framework called BATON to build my ventures

BATON stands for Business, Audience, Tribe, Offer, Network.

Business is the idea. The niche. The market. Working out what value you actually want to give the world.

Audience is getting that audience in front of people. Which has been my focus for 6+ months and has led to the audiences above.

Itā€™s easier (not easy!) for me to deploy new products and services BECAUSE I have an audience.

For instance when I launch a new course I know I will make a certain minimum amount of cash. Itā€™s predictable because of the audience.

This got me thinking that I need to help you build an audience. Because with an audience everything else in business becomes easier.

If you are ā€œknownā€ people seek you out.

And when you hop on a call with them the sale is 90% done. Theyā€™ve seen your stuff and trust your ability. Finalising the sale is easy.

Yesterday for example someone asked me if I can come a do a lunch session at their office in London.

I said sure - itā€™s $1500-2000 for the hour, depending on how many people.

They didnā€™t blink. They just said great letā€™s work out a date.

This is someone I didnā€™t have to sell to. I didnā€™t have to reach out to and chase. I didnā€™t have to prove my worth. They just asked me how much.

I say this not to brag but to (hopefully) open your eyes to the power of being known in your industry.

This applies in B2B niches on LinkedIn all the way through fun consumer products on TikTok. Being known gives you an unfair advantage and makes the rest of your business much easier.

Iā€™ve written a fair amount on these topics before:

  • Personal brand

  • Content marketing

  • Video content

  • Social media marketing

But right now itā€™s all a bit of a hotchpotch.

So over this holiday Iā€™ve sketched out a proper step by step course on how to become known and how to build an audience.

Iā€™m aiming to have it ready in April.
