I’m off to China!

On Monday I’m flying off to Beijing for a week or so.

I used to live in Beijing 10+ years ago so it’ll be fascinating to see how it’s changed (a lot I’m sure!).

And to see how rusty my Mandarin has got. (Also a lot I’m sure!)

After China I’m heading down to Vietnam for a few weeks (Also used to live there for a couple of years).

My business partner Harms and his family have been living there recently so it’ll be nice to meet in person - it’s a VERY rare occurrence honestly!

And then finally down to Singapore. A place I haven’t lived in at last 😅

Also, I’ll be posting some more travel related content on my socials than normal. Don’t worry - no boring Instagram influencer stuff from me. Let’s be honest it’ll be food mainly… moving towards my dream of being able to expense travel as a business expense (if my accountant is reading what’s the play here? I’m only 40% joking 🤣 )

And finally, a FYI: Over the next few weeks I’m adjusting the Prompt Entrepreneur newsletters a little.

We’re going back to basics.

Why? I have lots of students on my Accelerators and AI Workshop Kit who have asked where they can learn the fundamentals.

When talking to clients or rooms of workshop attendees they want to make sure they aren’t blindsided by some very specific AI knowledge based question.

Very fair!

So: over the next few weeks our newsletters will be more knowledge based than usual. Probably feeling thankfully after last weeks’ extremely detailed automation building Playbook!

Here’s the current slate of issues:

• learning how to learn with AI - talking about learning techniques and how best to acquire knowledge in a world of AI. Meta!)

• AI fundamentals - genAI, LLMs, backpropogation/gradient descent and all that fun stuff. Don’t worry I’ll make it accessible! And no maths!

• prompting fundamentals - reviewing different prompting techniques and how to get best results from AI

• BIG topics - ever been asking a “biggie” like ‘does AI think?’ and been stumped? We’re gong to cover the top '‘yikes!” questions. Or…I’m going to give it a damn good shot!
