Each one a complete, actionable project for building some aspect of an AI-powered business. My enthusiasm got a bit out of hand, you might say…

The Power of Restriction

When I first started offering AI workshops, I tried to be everything to everyone. "I'll help companies with their complete AI transformation! Strategy, implementation, training, custom tool development, process optimisation..." You name it, I was offering it.

The result? Confusion. Overwhelm. Stress. And not many sales.

Then I stripped it back to basics: "I'll run a 60-minute AI workshop for your business team. $1000 for the hour."

That's it. Simple. Clear. Easy to understand, sell, and deliver.

The sales started flowing. The testimonials started coming in. And you know what happened next? Clients started asking for more. I expanded out once I had the basics on lock.

I had to try to not visualise the whole “empire” in my head. The scaling plan, the team I’d need and the different international markets we’d hit. All of that is fun but doesn’t help you just get started!

The Magic of One Service

This same principle applies to every Playbook service you might create. Take the Newsletter Growth Playbook. Most people would try to offer a complete done-for-you solution: "I'll handle all your email marketing, content creation, list building, and automation." All the bells and whistles.

Instead, start with: "I'll set up your business newsletter system in beehiiv and get your first 100 subscribers. $1500." Bish bash bosh done.

Or the Social Media Playbook. Don't jump in with "full-service social media management, strategy, and paid advertising." Start with: "I'll set up your TikTok content automation systems and get your first 1000 followers."

We're doing ONE thing exceptionally well. Then letting the rest flow naturally.

And each Playbook is ONE thing that you can flip into a service.

Why This Works

Think about it from a client's perspective. When they hear a focused offer, they instantly understand what they're getting. There's no confusion about deliverables. No scope creep. Just clear value and clear results.

This clarity makes it easier to sell. Easier to deliver. And much easier to systematise. You can focus on perfecting one process instead of juggling twenty.

This is something I wish I had known a LOT earlier in business. Don’t try to be all things to all people. Only burnout that ways lies!

Each of these can be converted into a service for clients. Each deals with a problem that businesses and individuals have that you can help them with.

Which one makes your eyes light up? Which one makes you think "I could do that!"?

Trust that instinct. If you're drawn to the newsletter playbook, it's probably because you already understand email marketing. You've run newsletters yourself. You see the value in email lists. You actually enjoy this stuff!

Don't overthink it. Your perfect playbook service needs four things:

1. You can do it yourself first

2. You'd enjoy doing it for others

3. It has clear, measurable results

4. You can explain it in one sentence

If you can't hit all four, keep looking. There are plenty of Playbooks to choose from.

For now just choose one to roll with - we can also try another later so don’t get hung up! Also, once you’ve done this process once it’ll become much easier to do it again.

Part 5: Launch and Partnership Finally, we'll cover finding your first clients, validating your service, and potential partnership opportunities for distribution.

P.S. Want to know which playbook service I'd pick if starting over? I’m sorta biased but it would be AI Workshops! One focused service that delivers clear value in 60 minutes, charging $1000/hour plus. My personal record is $4000 for an hour session (+ flights, hotel etc). Which then opens up consulting work? Lovely. But that's just me - your perfect playbook might be completely different. Trust your gut and pick something that excites you!
