Hey Prompt Entrepreneur,
I recently watched someone share their "lead magnet creation journey." They'd spent three weeks crafting the perfect guide for using AI in their industry. Design iterations, multiple rewrites, endless tweaking.
Sound familiar?
Here's the thing - if you give yourself three weeks to create a lead magnet, it'll take three weeks! That's Parkinson's Law in action. But here's the real kicker: that extra time rarely makes the lead magnet more valuable to your audience.
In fact, I've found the opposite to be true. The lead magnets I've created in an afternoon often outperform the ones I've spent weeks polishing. Why? Because they're focused, specific, and solve one problem really well.
Let's get started:

The Quick Win Philosophy
Here's a hard truth: nobody wants your comprehensive 130+ page guide.
There’s a guy on LinkedIn who has been sending me his complete eBook on tax accountancy for years now. I don’t want to put him on blast but here’s the original message:

He’s since sent me updated versions of the book with more material.
130 pages? Ain’t nobody got time for that.
Think about it - what's more appealing to me as a business owner: "Complete Guide to UK Self Assessment" (yawn) or "Self Assessment Checklist One-Pager to save on Tax in 2025 "
The second one promises a specific, achievable result fast. That's what we're aiming for.
This is our first big interaction with our customer - they’re going to give us their email address in exchange for something of value. Don’t make that item of value homework for them.
Finding Real Pain Points
The best place to start with lead magnet ideas is solving problems, answering questions and fixing pain points.
Before we generate lead magnet ideas, we need to validate pain points. Here's a prompt to get us started:
You are a market research specialist. Help me identify specific problems and questions my target audience is likely searching for solutions to.
Context:
My audience: [describe who you help]
Main value: [what you help with]
Industry: [your niche]
Generate:
1. 10 specific problems they face daily
2. 10 "how to" questions they might ask
3. 10 "what is" questions they need answered
4. 10 common frustrations or bottlenecks
Here are some examples I got given:

Validating Pain Points
Don't just trust the AI though! For each problem or question, ask:
Is there search volume? (Check Google Keyword Planner - it's free)
Are people asking about this in communities?
Could we provide a quick win for this?
Another quick and dirty way is using Google Autocomplete:

Just start typing and you’ll get common questions in your niche. Very rudimentary but can help with ideas.
Ideally though talk to people. This is the best way to actually know what your customers are thinking! Crazy right? 😆
Once we have validated problems, we can turn them into lead magnet ideas. But here's the key - we're not trying to solve their whole problem. We're giving them a quick win that proves we can help.
Here's the good news - because we're keeping our lead magnets short and focused on quick wins, we can create lots of them. Here's my idea generation prompt:
You are a lead magnet creation specialist. Help me turn these validated problems into lead magnet ideas.
My validated problems: [paste your problems/questions]
My expertise: [what you help with]
Create a table with these columns:
| Lead Magnet Title | Problem Solved | Quick Win Delivered | Speed to Result (1-5) | Creation Effort (1-5) | Upsell Potential (1-5) |
Rules for scoring:
- Speed: 5 = results in <1 hour, 1 = takes days
- Effort: 5 = can make in an hour, 1 = needs weeks
- Upsell: 5 = clear path to paid offer, 1 = standalone
Generate at least 10 ideas focusing on quick, achievable wins.
If I enter those previous questions I get something like this:

"Weekly AI Update Digest Template" | Staying current with AI | Framework for efficiently tracking relevant AI updates | 3 | 4 | 3 |
"AI Learning Priority Matrix" | Balancing time and learning | Customised learning roadmap based on business goals | 4 | 3 | 5 |
Testing Your Ideas
Got an active audience? You can test these ideas by posting tips related to each concept. The ones that get engagement are likely winners.
For example that AI Learning Priority Matrix we could straight up have AI decide what the matrix is, what’s in it and generate an image like so:

Then we’d get that posted and see if there’s any interest. If yay, great - validates making a lead magnet. If nay, also great - we’ve saved time.
This is an additional optional step, intended to save you time in creating even quick and dirty lead magnets.
