Prompt Playbook: 2025 Predictions
Live Webinar: I’m sharing how I get $1000/hour to teach businesses about AI in 2025, and how you can do the same. (Tuesday 7th) Register here. (Thursday 9th) Register here. (Recordings available).
Hey Prompt Entrepreneur,
Quick story. At a recent AI conference, I counted 17 different AI tools that all basically did the same thing. Want to know how many are still around six months later?
Two.
The difference wasn't the technology. It was distribution.
My final prediction for 2025 is the spiciest yet: distribution will become everything in AI entrepreneurship.
The winners won't be the ones with the best technology - it’ll be those who can get their product out to market that survive.
AI technology is becoming democratised at an incredible pace. The tools are getting better, cheaper, more accessible. Soon, building an AI solution won't be the hard part.
Here’s the CEO of Gumroad saying something similar:
Before AI: 10 engineers, 1 designer, 0 marketers
After AI: 0 engineers, 1 designer, 10 marketers

That means more supply flooding the market. More competition. More copycats. More noise.
All competing for the same market, the same customers.
We're already seeing the early signs. The AI market is getting noisy. Really noisy. AI tools are flooding Product Hunt. AI tool directories are like graveyards of ambition. Everyone and their dog is building an AI something something.
By 2025, this noise will be deafening.
But here's where it gets interesting. While everyone else fights for attention in the crowded mainstream channels, the smart entrepreneurs will be building distribution moats:
Deep connections in specific industries
Strong personal brands that showcase real expertise
Content that actually helps people solve problems
Communities built around genuine value
Strategic partnerships that make sense
Notice something? These aren't quick hacks or growth tricks. They're sustainable advantages built on real value and relationships.
The boring stuff. Sorry! (It works though….)
The "80/20 principle" for founders
Traction: 80% distribution, 20% product
Growth: 80% retention, 20% acquisition
Revenue: 80% existing customers, 20% new leads
Pricing experiments: 80% positioning tweaks, 20% actual price changes
Brand building: 80% customer experience, 20%… x.com/i/web/status/1…— GREG ISENBERG (@gregisenberg)

The entrepreneurs who win in 2025 won't just be good at building AI tools - they'll be exceptional at building trust and reaching the right people. Distribution, marketing are the new x-factor (not the show..)
Remember my previous predictions about the human element, AI consultation, workshops, and specialised tools specific to industry problems? They all feed into this. Each one is actually a distribution channel in disguise. And each one needs distribution.
Flywheel!
When you help someone through consulting, you build trust. When you run a workshop, you demonstrate expertise. When you build a specialised tool based on real needs, you already know exactly who needs it.
This is the playbook for 2025: build distribution and build products.
Wrapping up the week
Let me wrap up this week's predictions with a clear picture of how it all fits together:
The human element becomes your differentiator in an AI-saturated world
Consultation work gives you deep market insights
Workshops establish you as an expert
Specialised tools solve validated problems
Distribution ties it all together and amplifies your impact
Making it happen for you
So, what’s the plan with distribution?
Basically doing all I can here - showing you how I personally put together an audience of 250,000+ social and 60,000 newsletter in a year.
Showing you what worked. What (lol) didn’t. How to slot together the pieces (social, newsletter, courses) so they all work together.
And then providing accountability and coaching as you build everything.
For this it would be something longer term - 6 months or a year of support. This is a long game. I’m not sure of the exact format. I need your help for this one.
But again, if this sounds exciting to you I’d love to get your confirmation and any feedback you care to provide!
Here’s the final form of the week (I promise!):
Thank you again for all of your assistance over this week. As mentioned on Monday this is to help me work out how best to serve you all in 2025 - what are the newsletter issues, Playbooks, courses, cohorts and programmes I can create to help you best.
So thank you so much for all the feedback. I’ll have more details once I’ve crunched the data and had a think!
Here’s to an amazing 2025!
